Reflection of 7th Grade

May12

When I first arrived in August, I expected seventh grade to be like the movies, easy-going, slow paced, and super duper easy but soon I realized that was just a fantasy and the real world told me it wasn’t. By October, my life slowly and gradually got harder to manage. For example I was having multiple tests a day and many pop quizzes. In 7th grade I learned that when you think your trying hard you better try harder, when you think some things right double check, it’s never too late and it’s never bad to ask for help. When every you ask for help in a class it shows that you care and you are trying to get good grades. So make sure to ask if your confused.

As the year comes to an end things are getting easier and more automatic. It’s becoming less stressful and more easy-going. If I had to do it again I would study more for tests and class assignments and get more help from teachers ( I learned that the hard way). When you don’t study or you don’t get help you WILL fail the assignment. I recommend that everyone manages their time wisely when you have outside of school activities like sports practice or music lessons. I think you should manage you time wisely even if you don’t have outside of school activities. It will make your like easier and less stressful.

My advice to next years 7th graders is to make sure you have turned in your assignments on time and to make sure you get help if you need it. Also make sure you make friends with the right people. You don’t want someone who pushes you around to be you friend or someone who bullies you. Or even someone who does bad things out and in school. Remember to stick with the friends that raise you up not bring you down.

Leadership

May2

When I think of leadership I think of my church! I think of this because my
church group leader is a great example of this. He is very responsible and
inspirational. He has a very big heart and can do anything he puts his mind to. Leadership isn’t just about being smart p. You have to be a good person on the inside and out.
You must also be kind to others. Other key point on leadership are that you have to
be able to make decisions. You cannot be indecisive. You also have to be able to put up with others and handle everyone. Every leader needs to be a good speaker because when your a leader you speak to big crowds. These are all the essentials to being a great leader.

My Favorite Poem

April21

They come in a school
And swim in a pool
Not a pool of chlorine
But a pool of sea salt green
They come in colors, in every shade
They come in a little small parade
They have big eyes or small eyes
But they don’t wear ties
As they swim through the ocean they pick up some weeds
The weeds don’t even have to be green
I can go on and on about my little friends
But this poem is going to have to come to an end

By: Sophie Nassour

I put this as my favorite poem because it reminds me of the Doctor Seuss books about the fish! It takes me back to when I was
little. I also put it as my favorite because it is very original and goes into good description about fish and how they look and travel.

Favorite childhood toy

April14

My favorite toy was bright pink, and rode so smooth can you guess what it is? A Barbie Jeep! It had a radio that blasted Barbie girl and had matching keys that I took everywhere! I had sunglasses too that I wore with them. Every time I rode in it I felt like the top dog! If I could go back I would do it within a second! The radio blasted as I drove on the side walk! Everyone’s head turned when I drove!

Why you should visit Austin

March29

When I think of fun I think of Austin Texas, when I think of forever I think of Austin Texas. Those are the key ingredients for life.
First off everything is close to each other. If you wants somewhere where you can let your kids play in the yard you’ve got the good old neighborhoods, but if you want somewhere where you can party, go out to dinner or even go shopping you can just bike, walk, take a bus, or drive downtown.
Also Austin Texas is so original. You have restaurants like Kerby Lane, and pizza like Home Slice! The best part is we have Amy’s ice cream-no other state has it. It’s the most wonderful creamy and rich ice cream you will ever taste.
Even though all the ice cream, the restaurants, and everything being close is a great bonus the important thing is that we have a great environment. This is why everyone should visit Austin Texas.

Pets

February28

Pets
They can be small
Or they can be big
They can be tall
Or they can be a pig
They can play with a ball
Or play with a twig
They can eat something small
Or eat something big

Expository Writing

February11

Remember that one time an unknown number texted you and you responded back to them? We’ll you never know what that person knows about you to this day. This is why texting can be a threat it your life.

Without a doubt you could be texting a stranger and tell them personal information. You could think you’re texting your mom and your telling her about your day but then eventually you find out it’s not your mom. It was a stranger. Therefore texting stranger can lead to serious damage.

Furthermore people can use texts against you. You could be ticked tick ticking all day about a fight in school but then that person can hold the information against you. Man it doesn’t feel good when someone else uses your words against you. So don’t send personal information via text message because it can come back and bite you in the butt.

In the end you should never do something you will regret later on. Just remember texting can affect your life with anyone. Maybe next time I almost a regretful text I should just text it on my Barbie phone.

Track

February3

I feel the butterflies flying in my stomach as the finish line comes into sight. My muscles start ache more and more as I inch closer and closer. My heart pounds so hard I can feel it through my feet. I turned my head to see a massive crowd- all screaming my name. I turned back around to see the finish line was only 2 steps away. I crossed the finish line-I won.

Friendship

January22

Every Sunday I go to church and every Sunday new people come to church. I tried to be friendly to every person who walks in. I ask how they are doing or how have they been doing. I make new friends all the time. Like last Sunday some kids from New Jersey moved here and they had no friends here. So we have a youth group at my church and we invited them to become one of the members. They now are friends with my family and they are coming to my house for Christmas! The opposite happened the Sunday before. This family was just visiting but I still tried to be friends with them so I walked up to them and ask them their names and how old were but they looked at me and ignored me. They just are not happy people!
